Transfer Related Questions
How to transfer a mobile number in Singapore?
To transfer a mobile number, both parties need to bring their identification
documents (ID card or pass) to the telecom operator's branch. The staff will assist with the
transfer process; you only need to provide the necessary identification documents.
Where can I transfer a mobile number?
You can visit the corresponding telecom operator's branch to process the
transfer. For certain operators (like redONE), you can choose a time and location convenient for
you, and we will arrange staff to assist you with the entire process.
What documents are needed for mobile number transfer? Can I use a passport?
You need to provide valid identification documents (Singpass not accepted). If
you are a foreigner, you need to provide a long-term visa (such as work permit, student pass, etc.).
Passports and tourist visas are not accepted.
Do I need to sign up for a plan or prepare anything before transferring a
mobile number?
No. During the transfer, the operator will assist with all related procedures.
You only need to bring your identification documents.
Can the transfer be done online?
Some numbers and operators support online transfer procedures. However, most
transfers need to be done at physical branches. Online transfers typically require payment before
transfer, and the document requirements are the same as offline transfers.
Do I need to be present in person for the mobile number transfer?
Yes. For offline transfers, you must be present in person with your
identification documents.
Is it mandatory to transfer the purchased mobile number?
Yes, according to Singapore regulations, mobile numbers must be properly
transferred before use. Numbers without proper transfer cannot be used normally.
Number Types and Plans
What are postpaid and prepaid cards?
Postpaid and Prepaid are two different mobile payment methods. Postpaid is
similar to a credit card where you use the service first and receive a bill at the end of the month
based on actual usage. Postpaid usually requires a 12 or 24-month contract and a long-term pass
(such as LTVP, WP, EP, PR, or SC). Prepaid is like a stored-value card where you need to top up
before using the service, has no contract restrictions, and offers more flexibility. Both options
have their advantages and disadvantages, and you can choose based on your needs and situation.
What's the relationship between plans and contracts?
A plan refers to your monthly payment and included services (such as talk time,
data, and SMS). A contract is the agreed usage period with the operator, during which you typically
cannot freely change plans or cancel services without paying a penalty fee.
Are your numbers postpaid or prepaid?
Most of our numbers are Postpaid, which requires a long-term pass to register.
Which operators do your numbers belong to?
The operator depends on the specific number. We provide numbers from various
operators, and most numbers can be freely ported to a new operator after transfer.
What plans are available with your numbers?
Plans depend on the operator. For example, M1's plans typically start at $15
monthly, including 150GB data, 1100 minutes of calls, and 1100 SMS. You can check with your operator
for more plan details.
Do your numbers come with contracts?
Most transferred numbers don't have contracts. However, some might have existing
contracts, so we recommend checking with our customer service when selecting a number.
Can I sign up for a phone with the number transfer?
Most numbers allow this, unless the number has an existing contract.
Can I customize a number?
We can help you find your desired number, but the more specific your
requirements, the harder it is to find. For example, if you only need specific last four digits, the
probability of finding it is higher; but if you're looking for a very specific number, it might be
more difficult and require longer waiting time.
Number Porting and Operators
What is Singapore's number porting policy?
All Singapore mobile numbers can be ported. This means you can keep your
existing number while switching to any operator of your choice.
Can I port my number if it has a contract?
Yes. However, most operators will require you to pay an early termination fee.
Policies vary by operator. We recommend checking your current operator's contract terms and related
fees before porting.
Can I change operators after transfer?
Yes. All Singapore numbers can freely choose operators after transfer. However,
if the number has a contract, you'll need to wait until the contract expires or pay a termination
fee.
Can the number be transferred to a company name?
Yes. However, transferring to a company name involves more complex procedures,
so it's recommended to first transfer to an individual (preferably a company director) and then
transfer from the individual to the company.
Branch Outlets and Services
What are the differences between operator branches?
StarHub and Singtel branches are divided into "retail stores" and "main
branches." Retail stores are usually franchised to third parties. We recommend visiting main
branches for transfers as they offer more comprehensive services and experienced staff.
Are operator branches open on weekends? What are the operating hours?
Operator branches are open on weekends. Operating hours are typically from 11 AM
to 9 PM.
Do you have a physical store address?
We currently don't have physical stores. You can select your number online
first, then visit the operator's branch to complete the transfer.
Transaction Safety and Compliance
Do you have activated "space cards" (cards that can be used without transfer)?
No. We strictly comply with Singapore laws and regulations and do not sell any
illegal products. According to Singapore law, unregistered mobile cards (known as "space cards") are
illegal, and using such cards may result in fines or other legal consequences.
How do you ensure transaction safety?
We use a "transfer before payment" approach to maximize your transaction
security.
Can you provide invoices or receipts?
Yes, please inform us before the transfer procedure so we can prepare the
appropriate documentation.
